OnePlus Co-founder Carl Pei joined Qualcomm President Cristiano Amon on stage to announce that there are at least two 5G Flagship Smartphones next year, and one of them will be made by OnePlus.
OnePlus will be one of the first, if not the first, manufacturers to release a 5G smartphone. It’s likely that the product will arrive in the first half of 2019. As Amon said, it will probably rely on Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem and the further downsized QTM052 mmWave antenna module.
There are also rumors about Samsung’s Galaxy S10 with a 5G variant. Which company will release the first 5G commercial smartphone? Let us know in the comments below.
