OnePlus 6T Launch Event Rescheduled to Avoid Collision with Apple Event

OnePlus moved up its October 30 event to October 29, to avoid colliding with Apple’s event, which was announced yesterday. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau posted on the OnePlus Community Forum about the decision.

Both the OnePlus and Apple events were scheduled to take place in New York City on the same day. After the change, OnePlus will now hold its event on October 29th at the same location and 11AM ET time.

OnePlus’s event has already been sold out with over 1000 confirmed attendees so far. In past events, OnePlus has credited the cost of the ticket back when attendees purchased a phone.

OnePlus is even reaching out to attendees to let them know about the rescheduling, and itā€™s offering to cover travel expenses for attendees if they need to change their flights.

We canā€™t wait to unveil the OnePlus 6T. It’ll be a big week in New York. But, weā€™re ready to Unlock The Speed ā€“ hand-in-hand with you. Thank you for supporting us! See you October 29, at 11AM EDT.

The OnePlus 6T is a much anticipated phone, which will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor and a water drop shaped notch. The decision to reschedule is a very mature move by OnePlus.
