The Cortana app for iOS and Android will be soon getting an update, which will change the look and feel of the app, visually. For those who have enrolled in Microsoft’s Beta Program, the Version 3.0 is available. (via WindowsCentral)
The new beta version includes an updated UI which lets you have “conversational experiences” with Cortana. This is similar to what we see with Siri and Google Assistant. The app now also has support for music and podcasts across both the phone and connected Bluetooth devices. Additionally, you can also manage your calendar, set reminders, create meetings, and ask to join Skype or Teams meetings.

The app is divided into three tabs – Discover, Upcoming and Devices. With Discover, you can start chatting with Cortana and/or give it voice commands. Upcoming, which already exists in the app, is now clean with less space between its cards. And finally, the Devices tab lets you set up your Cortana powered devices like the Surface Headphone.

Microsoft seems to be pulling hard to make Cortana a better product. It even acquired an AI startup called Semantic Machines partly in an attempt to make Cortana sound more human.
