In their Support Page, Google mentions a “Browse in Private” mode in Chrome. That mode is the most popular Incognito Mode. However, many saw that their Incognito Mode changed to Private Mode.
Well, I didn’t find that in my Chrome, Nor anyone of the tipsters from Android Police.
If Google does change the name of the Incognito Mode to Private mode, it will come closer to Private Window (Safari), Private Browsing (Mozilla) and InPrivate from (Edge).
A few years back, Incognito made a lot of confusion around. Some users that a Do Not Disturb gets activated on your browser and doesn’t allow an attacker to track you down, which Incognito never does. Hope changing the name may clear all the doubts.
