Samsung has finally launched its first Android Go device in India. The Galaxy J2 Core is the first smartphone to run Android Go onboard. Samsung announced this device last week, with an initial launch in India and Malasia.
Today Samsung has made the device available for purchase from Samsung Store and retailers.
Galaxy J2 Core specifications and pricing
The Galaxy J2 Core comes with a qHD display with a resolution of 960x540p. The display you get here is a 5-inch display with LCD panel beneath.
The phone runs on Android Oreo Go Edition out of the box. It works on Samsung’s own Exynos 7570 processor which is a quad-core processor. This processor is generally for those devices which are below ₹10,000. The processor is clocked at 1.4GHz and has Mali-T720 MP1 GPU onboard. J2 Core comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage since its a Go Edition device.
You will get an 8MP shooter at the back with aperture f/2.2 and front camera with a 5MP lens of the same aperture. The device does support 4G LTE and comes with dual SIM configuration. With 2,600 mAh battery, you can stretch the device for an entire day with entire charge, since the device will not support heavy apps anyways. Thanks to Go Edition.
Since being a Go Edition device, you will get the most Go Apps on Play Store. And you can also install the apps directly to SD Card.
The device is priced at ₹6,190 both offline and online. The color options are Black, Blue, and Gold.
