The Galaxy On -series is quite popular which moves from shoulder to shoulder with the J-Seres. The J-series is the offline and online series whereas the On-series is only an online exclusive device. The specifications are the same as well. However, a slight change is there in the pricing. Generally, On-Series devices are less expensive than J-series. And the same happened with Galaxy J8 which is now Galaxy On8.
Last time Samsung rebranded Galaxy J6 to On6 2018, and this time Galaxy J8 is On8 2018. The On8 2018 is an online exclusive device and is little cheaper than J8 itself.
As for specifications, the On8 2018 sports a 6-inch Infinity display with a resolution of 1480x72p HD+ display. The display used here is Super AMOLED display. Rest of the specifications are the same as that of Galaxy A6+.
Do note that like Galaxy J8, this device also features a dual-camera setup. Also, it does come with Android Oreo 8.0 onboard, so yes you can expect Android P next year on your device. And in terms of sensors, you can only expect Accelerometer, and Proximity Sensor and no auto-brightness sensor onboard.
However, the price tag is sweet here. The original J8 cost around ₹17,990, whereas the new Galaxy On8 2018 will cost you ₹16,990.
The device will be available in two different colors – Black and Blue. The device will be available to purchase from Samsung Shop on August 6.
