Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is just a couple of weeks away. And it seems like the company is ready to get back into putting massive hardware into its Note devices.
A teaser for the phones flaunts that the phone might be sporting a new, massive battery. Some rumors suggest it could have a capacity of 4,000mAh, making it the largest battery ever built into a Note device. That’s a significant upgrade over last year’s phone and even the doomed Note 7 from 2016.
The Note 7 had a 3,500 mAh battery, which exploded or caught fire across the globe. After this massacre, airlines across the world started banning the device. And after spending the rest of 2016 apologizing, Samsung then retreated in its quest for a larger battery the following year with the Note 8, which featured a smaller 3,300mAh capacity.
However, it seems this time that Samsung is confident enough to not only include a large battery in its new phone, but also sell it as a key feature. Samsung needs the Galaxy Note 9 to be significantly different from other devices and not just a Galaxy S9+ with a stylus.
