Instagram added a sticker for polling in October to its stories. And today, the social media company is introducing a new twist on polling with the questions sticker, which lets your friends submit questions for you to answer in a subsequent story post.
It often happens with us that we need an ice breaker to talk to new friends or connect to old friends but we don’t really have a photo or video to share. Questions sticker ensures that people continue posting even if they have totally run out of content ideas.
Open the sticker drawer as always and you’ll find the Questions sticker there. Tap it, type out a prompt, and place it on your post. When friends see it, they can tap the sticker to send replies. You can see the replies in the list of people who have viewed your story.
From there, you can tap the question to create a new story post. The question will be inserted into the story, and you can answer however you like. You’ll know who asked the question, but their username or photo won’t appear in the post.
The Questions sticker will be rolling out to iOS and Android today. So go and ask new questions in your stories!
