Button Combinations:
I have been using the Android operating system for 9 years now and it took me until 2012 to realize that by pressing the volume down and power button simultaneously you could trigger a screenshot. Finding this button combination all those years ago made me feel like a genius and although this finding may not feel as revolutionary it sure seems cool.
The New Combo on the Block:
I found out through looking on a picture in a Forbes article today that pressing the volume up button and the power button simultaneously triggers the vibrate setting for your ringer. The button combination will not take you back to the ringer or to silent mode. It will simply retrigger vibrate, which is silly, but that’s what happens.

I’m trying this on the first generation Google Pixel XL on the second developer preview. If any of you have different phones on different versions of Android please try this out and let me know if you have any different results.
Conclusion:
While this isn’t the biggest find on the block I still think it’s interesting that Google is doing new things with pressing combinations of the volume and power buttons are pressed. I look forward to hearing what you all think of this. I know this will come in handy in times I need to quickly change to vibrate like in a movie or when I walk into work. When will this help you out? Let us know in the comment section below.
