Microsoft Teams for iOS updated with @mention, additional languages support

Microsoft Teams recently celebrated its first anniversary and announced various features that’ll be coming to Teams apps in future. Today, they’ve released a new update for their iOS app with various new features and improvements.

The new update brings in ability @mention in chat with just first name. You can also now edit your team description and photos in-app. This version of app addds support for call forwarding to PSTN number. The app is now localized for Indonesia, Romania and Vietnam. The full changelog is below:

Here’s what’s new in version 1.0.34 :

  • Edit your team description and team photos
  • From your chat list, swipe left on a chat to mark it as read or unread
  • @mention someone with just their first name
  • Forward your calls to a PSTN number, or to anyone in your organization
  • Set your incoming calls to simultaneously ring anyone’s phone in your organization, or a PSTN number
  • Customize your voicemail greeting
  • Turn off incoming video during a call to conserve your battery and data
  • Microsoft Teams is now available in Indonesian, Romanian, and Vietnamese
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements
