Uber ceases support for its official app on Windows 10

Uber stopped development of its Windows Phone app when Microsoft stopped supporting it, but now it’s evident even UWP desktop and mobile app was shut down by the change.

Uber’s official app has been in a useless state for a few months now, reviews make it apparent. Users can’t search for an address, can’t verify their account or book rides through the app.

When approached by a concerned user, Uber support replied with the following in the mail:

This officially confirms the app is no longer supported on Windows Platform. Users and recommended to move to iOS or Android to use their app.

If you’re on Windows and still want to use Uber, you can use their website which offers same functionalities as the app. You
