Instagram is testing out some cool new features.

For those who are new to Instagram or who don’t use it often, “regramming” is where you post on your Instagram something that was posted by someone else. Unfortunately this feature is not built into Instagram itself, but rather users had to rely on third-party apps, but that could soon change in future updates.

According to a report from TNW, they have learnt that Instagram is testing out a bunch of new features which are pretty cool, one of them being a native regramming feature. As you can see in the screenshot above, there is a new icon below photos where if you click it, you will be able to regram a post that someone else made.

We’re not sure what took so long, but better late than never! In addition to a native regram button, Instagram also appears to be testing out the ability to post GIFs in Stories where there users can search for GIFs and add them to their Stories to make the more fun and entertaining. It also seems that Instagram is finally coming around to launch a beta testing program for iOS users, and also the ability to archive Stories.

While Stories can be downloaded and saved, being able to archive them at least puts them all in the same location so you can view them later. That being said, TNW notes that there’s no guarantee that all these features will make it to the public release, but hopefully some of them will.
