Over 80,000 Xbox One X unit sold in first week of UK sale

Xbox One X has started off its week fairly well when compared to what PlayStation 4 Pro did last year. The device sold whopping 80,000 units in a week’s time in the UK alone.

The report comes from Gamesindustry.biz, who sourced their sales data from various retailers across their country. Xbox One X has sold 80,000 units (hardware figures are up-weighted 20%. Xbox One X raw data is at 67,000), when compared to 50,000 units of PlayStation 4 Pro in November 2016. Only Nintendo Switch comes close to the sales of Xbox One X which was released back in March this year.

Special Project Scorpio version of Xbox One X was the most sold version of Xbox One X.

As for the games, Call of Duty WWII has done far better than Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, selling 57% more units and generating 21% higher revenue. Other games that follow CoD WWII are Assassin’s Creed Origins (promoted by Microsoft), FIFA 18 and the Forza duo: Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 3.

Xbox One X went live on sale on 7th November, and has been a huge success for Microsoft. Microsoft claims Xbox One X to be the best console so far, but we’ve seen only mixed reviews from the fans and critics worldwide.

If planning on buying Xbox One X, you can buy it online at Microsoft store as well as Amazon for $449.
