Microsoft isn’t finished with adding Fluent design to apps completely yet, there’s more to the design that’s expected to arrive in future updates. The recent update to Microsoft Store brings in more Fluent design features to the app.
The new update, v11710.1000.94.0 for Microsoft Store brings in a lot of improvements related to Fluent design and other tweaks. For Microsoft Store on mobile, hamburger menu and store pages have been updated with acrylic transparency and transition effects, while PC received the same acrylic effect but more trasparent to reveal the background.
Along with the Fluent design additions, few smaller tweaks have been added in this update. In an earlier update, Microsoft added the auto-playing of featured videos to Store. Many users didn’t find is useful and rather annoying, that’s why they’ve now included an option in settings to disable autoplay of videos if you wish.
A string update has been added to Downloads and Updates section where it says “You’re good and ready to go” if there’s no pending or ongoing download or update.
The new update is rolling out to Fast ring and Release preview ring insiders on Windows 10 desktop as well as Mobile. If you’re an insider make sure you’re Store is up to date to view the changes.
