Satya Nadella : Low Market share brought the death of Windows Phone

Featured, Microsoft, Windows Phone

The chapter of Windows Phone is officially closed.
Windows Phone is DEAD, and Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella explains behind its shut down and has revealed that Microsoft’s mobile platform never had a chance against iOS and Android.

In a recent interview, Nadella pointed that Windows Phone’s non existent market share was the main reason behind the platform’s failure and said,

“We absolutely do not have the share to have our smartphone hardware, taht’s a real consumer choice. That’s the reality of it. The reality is that we cannot compete as a third ecosystem with no share position and attract developers.”

While Windows Phone’s shut down might have been a really hard decision, the company has already increased its  focus on software and cloud solution under their CEO’s leadership.
