With version 5.0, Netflix started HDR streaming. While most devices don’t have HDR compatible display, many of the flagship devices do have it. However, Netflix offers the feature device wise so users need to wait for their HDR capable device to get greenlight. Previously available to Xperia XZ Premium and LG V30, now the feature comes to Samsung Galaxy Note8 and the Sony Xperia XZ1.
Streaming Netflix in HDR and Dolby Vision requires Netflix app version 5.0 for Android.
Netflix is available in Dolby Vision on the Android phones below.
Note: Devices must run the latest firmware for Dolby Vision playback to work properly.
