LG V30 has f/1.6 aperture lens, largest in any smartphone camera


LG’s V series of smartphone provides some of the best smartphone camera. They have proven their worth in both photo and video-recording capabilities. LG V30 is supposed to arrive on August 31 but LG has offered more details about the new camera in the device.

They are going to provide the largest ever lens in a smartphone. They are using f/1.6 lens while you can find f/1.7 in Galaxy S8, f/1.8 in G6 and f/2.0 in pixel phone. And they are calling it Crystal Clear Lens and claims that it will deliver greater light collecting capabilities than usual plastic lens. Thus reducing edge distortion when capturing wide-angle shots. They also claim that the new lens will deliver 25 percent more light to the sensor compared to normal f/1.8 lens. Features like laser detection AF, OIS, EIS will be there. The app will also support Cine Video, Live Zoom effects, LG Log and Graphy features will give users a DSLR like experience. They also said the new camera module is 30% smaller than the previous module in V20.
