Another sad news incoming for Windows Phone users. Popular video game publisher, Electronic Arts, is now set to remove FIFA Mobile game from Windows Phone. The game will not receive any further updates, however, online services will be available for next three months or 90 days precisely. If you would like to save your progress, you can sign in through your Facebook account to sync your progress to cloud and then resume it on Android or iOS.
As of November 7, 2017, we are sunsetting FIFA Mobile on Windows devices. We will no longer support or update online services for this game. The decision to retire games services is never easy. We’ve put time into creating FIFA Mobile for your Windows device and you’ve put even more time into playing it. We will continue to run online services for the next 90 days, until November 7.
It’s sad to see apps leaving the Windows Phone one-by-one, but we’ve always known it was inevitable. Windows Phone’s user base is decreasing at an alarming rate and for the existing apps, the upkeep is just too much compared to the purpose it really serves to few users. It’s more efficient for developers to shift resources to other projects rather than continue development of their apps for Windows Phone, which is nearly dead anyway. Sad but true, it’s happening.
