The OnePlus 5 has been one of the many flagship killers of 2017 so far. But it seems like its users are noticing some avoidable issues. ‘Jellybean Scrolling’ and Audio issues are the recent ones.
But on a serious note, some of the OnePlus 5 were rebooting when dialled upon 911. This was first observed by a man who perhaps tried dialling 911 on his OnePlus 5 when he came across a building fire. Later when he tried it, he got the same problem, but this time captured on camera.
A thread from the official OnePlus forums suggest that this could be seen on the other OnePlus phones as well, but found out that the above OnePlus 5 was running stock OxygenOS.
In a statement to NextWeb, OnePlus said,
We have contacted the customer and are currently looking into the issue. We ask anyone experiencing similar situation to contact us at [email protected]
OnePlus also reached out Android Authority and said,
We have been in touch of customers and tested the software update that has resolved the issue. We will be rolling out the software update shortly.
Fortunately, OnePlus announced OxygenOS 4.5.6 Hot Fix update on the OnePlus fourms earlier yesterday and will hit the OnePlus 5 devices in coming days.
