Xiaomi Mi Max 2 smartphone has been launched in India at Rs 16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The smartphone will go on open sale from July 27 on online platforms such as Flipkart, Amazon Tatacliq, and Paytm as well as offline. Reliance Jio is offering extra 100GB data to Xiaomi Mi Max 2 buyers.
The smartphone comes from the same series of Xiaomi Max phone that were launched last year in May. The Max 2 comes with a curved edge design and is better trimmed compared to its predecessors.
The design has changed quite a bit and now, it is quite similar to the one on the Xiaomi Mi 6 where the antenna bands are pushed towards the top and bottom while the device has a unibody design with rounded edges and the way it is built, Xiaomi claims that this will be a scratch resistant design. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has the same 1080p resolution display under the 6.44-inch screen and there is a 2.5D glass for a better look. Internally, the phablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor along with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.
Mi Max 2 features a 12 MP primary camera with face detection auto-focus and dual LED flash and 5 MP front camera with f2.0 aperture.
The handset maker has also partnered with Reliance Jio to provide 100 GB of free data to its users.
