Asus Zenfone 4 series may be launched by Q3 2017 after a short delay. Yet we are not so sure about the July launch. The Taiwanese company states the reason of postponing the launch date because of “design overhaul and efficieny upgrades”.
Jerry Shen, Asus CEO, says that the new phone would come in Q3 2017 as a flagship grade device, aiming to cover up the loss of the company in its mobile business. Preliminary financial results show Asus is struggling with iterating loss but will swing back to profits by the end of 2017.
Asus Zenfone 4 series will be flagship grade with a 5.5″ display and a price tag of almost $500, to enrich the production line.
Shen adds that Asus will also unveil the Zenfone 5 later in the MWC 2018. Asus Zenfone 4 was announced 6 months ago at CES Las Vegas. The Zenfone AR will hit the Tainwanese market on June 14 and will cost whooping $830.
