It’s been almost two years since the launch of the original version of Windows 10. The first official Windows 10 version was 1507 and it is now outdated. Microsoft released so many other versions after that and now rolling out Creators update for the users. The latest version of the Windows 10 is 1703 and it is far better than the original one.
But now, Microsoft has made a big announcement. Today, Microsoft Support center has announced that they are stopping the support for the original Windows 10 version on Next month. That means you won’t be able to receive security updates and other supports from Microsoft on version 1507. This applies to the following editions, released July 2015:
- Windows 10 Home
- Windows 10 Pro
- Windows 10 Education
- Windows 10 Enterprise
That means that v1507 will no longer receive security updates after the May update. There is no impact to other editions, including the Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2015 LTSB.
