As seen in the beta builds, WhatsApp has now a Video calling feature alongside voice calling. This feature is now confirmed by WhatsApp, and now users can video call their contacts soon.
WhatsApp started out with text based messaging and over the time it eventually added voice call support. Few months ago, WhatsApp crossed its 100 million calls a day mark. Now one of the most user requested feature, Video calling is now released across all the major platforms including iOS, Windows Phone and Android.
People at WhatsApp know how important is video calling for the daily users. It comes into play where the texting and voice calls aren’t enough. As mentioned in the recent WhatsApp blog, “There’s no substitute for watching your grandchild take her first steps, or seeing your daughter’s face while she’s studying abroad”.
WhatsApp, even though they have got only a handful of employees, never fail to deliver promising updates for their products, and probably that’s why they have such a huge consumer base. We hope to see further improved services by WhatsApp in the future.
