The Microsoft Garage is publishing pretty awesome projects from time to time. Well as a Windows 10 Mobile user, most of these projects are not usable since they aren’t even available for Microsoft’s operating system. However, those ideas and projects are pretty cool though. Same counts for the Arrow Launcher which has been published a while ago.
While almost any Android user should have heard of this launcher already, it might not be that well known in the windows community. Now today Microsoft has pushed out another update for the Arrow Launcher which brings version 2.6 to the Google Play Store. With it there are coming a few new features. While some things have been implemented already like the Bing Daily Images, Wunderlist or even Microsoft Office, there are still a few things missing from the launcher.
The new version gives you the ability to change the size of your icons, which makes it a bite more customizable. Furthermore app shortcuts are now supported on the main app site, and guess what the widget site is back. No idea why they have even removed it though you can stop worrying about this now since it is back. Also a better performance should be coming with version 2.6 of the Arrow Launcher since the modified the RAM usage of the launcher. Apart from that various other bug fixes and performance improvements have been implemented in this Launcher.
Changelog
- Size of icons can be adjusted.
- App shortcuts are supported for the main app site.
- Widgets are back.
- RAM usage with tha Arrow Launcher has been optimized.
- Performance improvements and bug fixes.
Pretty neat new features which have been implemented with the latest features and it is nice to see that they are still working on the performance of the Launcher. Is there something you’d like to be implemented in the launcher? Feel free to drop us a comment below with your thoughts on the Arrow Launcher and stay tuned for more Microsoft related news in the future.
