Lenovo, a company mainly known for their Thinkpad row, has announced a new smartphone today. While the company is owning Motorola now and manufacturing new phones under the name of this company, they’ve still been focusing on Android devices. At least with their Motorola aka Moto devices. Ther more surprising it is that the company has announced the SoftBank 503LV today which will be shipped with Windows 10 Mobile.
The phone is a creation of a corporation between the SoftBank, a Japanese company and Microsoft Japan. As Microsoft announced earlier this year that they will be focussing on business products in the future, this seems to be the first attempt to do this. The phone will not be top of the spot, but rather be a mid-class business phone. It comes with a 5-inch HD Display (720p) and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor which is part of Qualcomms octa-core processors. Apart from that the phone will have 32GB of in-build storage which can be extended with MicroSD cards up 128GB. The RAM of the phone will be at 3GB and it has a 2250 mAh battery. Also Microsofts unique selling proposition ‘Continuum’ will be supported by SoftBank 503LV.
Lenovo has not announced a price for the phone yet, though if you consider the specifications of the phone, this should be a pretty solid mid-end Windows 10 Mobile device. Therefor it shouldn’t be too expensive. Here is a full list of features in case you are thinking about getting you one of those. The phone will also feature a glass front and back, what unfortunately can’t be seen very well at the published renders.

Lenovo will be offering the SoftBank 503LV for sale in lat October. However, as mentioned already the company didn’t announce a price for the phone today at the press event in Japan. Unfortunately there also been only released two press images which are not any official photos but rather two plain renders of the phone. You can have a look at them below.
