Panos Panay, responsible for the Surface devices at Microsoft, yesterday held a live stream. There he made a tour through the Surface Lab showcasing some developing processes which are gone through for a Surface device. That’s a very interesting walkthrough by the way and if you are interested in the live stream which is now available on YouTube, just follow this link. However there is one specific scene in this tour through the Surface Lab which attracts some attention.
Microsoft has released two different variants of their fitness tracker so far. There is on the one hand, the Microsoft Band and then there is the second generation the Band 2. Both are available in black color to buy, well at least in some regions of the planet. At 08:16 Panos Panay is showing the viewers some high precision lasers which can produce very very thin layers. Now during he showcases those he is rolling up his sleeve. This reveals a clear sight on a device which Panos is wearing on his wrist.

Now there are two realistic scenarios, what this device could possible be. ON the one hand it could just be a white variant of the Microsoft Band 2. Which would be gr eat but not such a burner as the second theory. It might be a bit optimistic but what you can see on Panos wrist here, could actually be the third generation of the Microsoft Band. It is very hard to identify since the video is in such a low quality, obviously not filmed with a Lumia phone ;). However just a few seconds after Panos Panay is sort of realising his mistake he quickly pulls back down his sleeve.
If there’d be a white variant of the Band 2 Microsoft would probably have announced it already. So what do our readers think, will we see a white Band 2 in the next few days or is Microsoft currently working on the third generation of their Band?
