Subway Surfers will be re-launched for Windows 10 Mobile

Subway Surfers is a well known and pretty popular game for smartphones and tablets, which will be re-launched fot Windows 10 Mobile very soon.

Subway Surfers is one of the most popular smartphone games. It was, alogn with Doodle Jump, also one of the first games to become a hit. Kind of obvious that this is an app no smartphone operating system should be lacking of. For Windows Phone 8 the app is currently available, however the developers plans might not make everyone happy.

According to Kiloo, who are the deveopers behind this popular smarphone game, plans are to drop support for Windows Phone 8. However, they are going to release a brand new app designed for Windows 10 Mobile. This brings of course some advantages for users who are using Windows 10 devices and for new customers, however, Windows Phone 8 customers might be dissapointed.

The news comes from On MSFT aka WinBeta who have contacted Kiloo for further information. Here is what the company told On MSFT:

We are working on Subway Surfers versions for Windows for mobile. The next update should be available on Windows 10 for mobile.
Subway Surfers, World Tour: Prague is the last update available for Windows Phone 8.
No further updates are planned for Windows Phone 8.

Subway Surfers might not remain as the only app which will vanish for Windows Phone and come for Windows Mobile. Just as apps have been discontinued for Windows Phone 7.8, the same story might now repeast with Windows Phone 8.1 Which Microsoft actually promised us will ot happen since they will ofer the update for all of their devices. We will see in which direction this is heading to, Windows 10 Mobile definetly has a lot of potential.
