Disqus is a very popular commenting service which is used on dozens of websites. With this service a web admin doesn’t have to add his own commenting system or use the one from WordPress but can simply implement Disqus on his website. There is also the advantage that users can simply comment almost everywhere without creating a new account but rather with their Disqus account. When the company started offering this service, Windows Phone was one of the first platforms to receive a dedicated app for the service.
Today this is a different story. There is still a Disqus app in the Windows Store which can be used on Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile, however there is some room for improvements. The app is not always working if you are trying to log in and , especially on Windows 10 Mobile, there are a few bugs which can be truly annoying.
However, there are some good news now concerning Disqus. With Windows 10 Microsoft introduced the UWP which allows to release apps for all different Windows platforms with hardly any customization work for each of the apps. And guess what Ryan Valentin tweeted today that they are currently working on a Universal Disqus app which will be available for Tablets, PC’s and Phones

For now you’ll still have to wait a bit for this universal windows app. Though it shouldn’t take too long anymore, the app is set to be release in by the end of June. For now you can still use the normal Disqus app which is available in the Windows app store for mobile devices.
