Microsoft just released a new feature-packed Windows 10 Mobile Build 14322 to Insiders.
The list of improvements and new features is endless, so I will highlight the notable ones:
New features to the Lockscreen:
There’s a new feature that now allows you to launch your camera right from the lockscreen, a camera button now replaces the “back” button on the nav bar on the Lockscreen, so you can now easily launch your camera by holding it for a couple of seconds.
Also, music controls are now accessible from the Lockscreen, you no longer have to use the volume rockers bring it up, it’s now right on the Lockscreen.
New features/improvements to the Action/Notification center and Quick Action center:
Common app notifications are now grouped, that means notifications from one app are grouped together, so there’s more space in the notifications center.
Images in notifications are much larger and pronounced.
Cortana also now uses the notifications center for displaying your reminders.
One more thing, you can now prioritize which app notifications you want to see, you can prioritize them on 3 different levels: Normal, High and Top. Also you can customize how many notifications per app shows in the notifications center.
The Quick Action settings page has been redesigned to make it much easier to customize your quick action buttons
Improvements to the Settings page:
Microsoft has improved the way you search for a setting page by improving the dropdown suggestions when you type in the search box.
The settings options now have icons associated to them.
The nav bar settings and Glace screen settings now have their individual own settings page.
The battery settings page has also been improved to give you more control over how apps use your battery.
The Windows update settings page has the active hours options now to allow you set by default what times you would like your phone to install updates (much like the PC version).
There is now the new Windows 10 set of emojis available in the keyboard, you can use them now with this new build:
Improvements to Microsoft Edge browser:
The Edge browser has been improved too, you can now copy and paste text anywhere on the web page (text field box).
Also, tabs now auto-close when you use the back button.
There are a whole lot more we didn’t even mention, but we will have a video walkthrough/demo of all these new features, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, if you want to read the full list of new features with details…
