Following the recent attacks in Belgium, AT&T has decided to waive all fees from calls and texts to the country to show their support. Their full statement if quoted below:
NEW YORK, March 22, 2016 — As with any emergency, text messaging is recommended due to the possibility of network congestion in the local area.
AT&T will waive or credit charges incurred for consumer calls placed by AT&T’s customers from the United States to Belgium between 3/22/2016 to 3/28/2016 in the local time zone. This includes landline, texting, and mobility (Postpaid and GoPhone) calls.
It’s important that we help out in times of crisis, and it’s nice to see companies lending a hand.
