Microsoft is still tunning the Windows Insider Program for the desktop and mobile version oftheir operating system. On the 2nd of March the company has released a new Build of Windows 10 Mobile, Build 10586.122 which is available to download for all Windows Insiders who are either part of the Slow Ring or the Release Preview Ring. According to the blog post from Gabriel Aul at the Windows Blog, the latest Build brings a few bug fixes to improve the overall expereince with the operating system which a focus on the upgrade expereince. It is very important to grant a nice and smooth upgrade from Windows Phone 8.1 to Windows 10 MObile and therefor it isgood to see that Microsoft is working on that. Might be another reason why the OS has not been officially rolled out yet.
Beside the bug fixes and stability improvements there has been also added support for additional devices. In the last couple of moths icrosoft has released their laest generation of flagships and another midrange business smartphone, the Lumia 650. However, also the competitors have released a few phones and some of them have been added to support the Windows Insider Program with this Build.
Four non-lumia phones have beenadded to the Windows Insider Program: MCJ Madosma Q501, BLU Win HD W510U, BLU Win HD LTE X150Q, and Alcatel Onetouch Fierce XL; So if you own one of these devces and you’d love to join the Windows Insider Program, all you have to do is to head over to he Universal Winows App Store, download the Windows Insider App and you are ready to go.
Nice move here from Microsoft to support additional devices. I am still in hope that the Funker W5.5 Pro, which I have bought a cople of weeks ago, will be supportd by the Windows Insider Program one day, unfortunatly I didn’t ave any luck with that so far. Is there a phone you would like to see support for the Windows Insider Program? Drop me a comment below with your opinion on this and stay tuned for more Microsoft related news in the future.
