Microsoft Lumia 650 will be available for 199€ in Ireland and specifications are confirmed

Recently Microsoft has announced their first devices with Windows 10 pre-installed the Lumia 950 / XL and the Lumia 550. Now the company is said to launch another low to mid end phone in the upcoming days. The Lumia 650 will probably be the next phone we will be able to see from Microsoft and though the company has not brought up any official information about the device, we do know a couple of things about it already thanks to various leaks and rumors.

So far the specifications of the phone could not be confirmed, however now we know it for sure with which hardware configuration the phone will be shipped. The Irish Tech Blogger Jimbo from TechBuzzIreland managed to get his hands on a store card of the Microsoft Lumia 650. On this store card, embed below, you can see all the specifications the phone will be shipped with.

Therefor it will come with a Snapdragon 212 processor which has 4 cores and will have a clock rate of 1.3 GHz. With this clock rate Microsoft is bringing the highest clock rate possible with this processor to the phone which may result in a better performance with the phone than with older Lumia devices in this price class.
Apart from that it will come with 16GB of internal storage, unfortunately this store card is not saying anything about an external SD card. Though Microsoft has always implemented this feature in their lower end devices so far. Furthermore it will come with a 8MP camera on the back, probably no Carl Zeiss Lenses, and a 5MP camera on the front which is very nice.

The 5MP front facing camera of the Lumia 650 but also the rest of the hardware is clearly differentiating the phone from the older model, the 640, and from the latest Lumia 550. Though also the price is differentiating from the 640, since the phone will be available for 199€ SIM free.

The only question left now is, is the design convincing you to pay a bit more for getting such a beautifully crafted phone? Drop me a comment below with your opinion on the Lumia 650 and stay tuned for more Microsoft related news in the future.
