Sky Sports have launched a new universal Windows 10 app catering for football (soccer) fans. Sky Sports Football Score Centre is a free app available from the Windows Store, and while it is advertised to work on mobile devices and PC’s it says it won’t work on either of the full Windows 10 devices I’ve tried installing it on, but is definitely available for Windows 10 Mobile (here in the UK at least), and after taking a look at the Media giants’ tool to keep you up to date with the latest results, it looks like it is worth a download.
Plenty of domestic football leagues are covered across Europe as well as coverage of International games. There is also a “Vidiprinter” the name itself should bring some nostalgia from anyone who followed football on the BBC in the 80’s and 90’s, it reports goals scored as they happen, and I look forward to following it next time a load of matches are on. You can also keep up with news stories, as the app shares Sky Sports News articles and video.
Navigating the app is pretty straightforward, left and right swipes take you to next story or league table and a hamburger menu displays an index of the various topics. All in all I’d say well worth a look if you are a football (soccer) fan.
