A few weeks back there was a Lumia devices in the tech news which seemed to have a Snapdragon 820 processor, and that right after the release of the Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. So that indicated that Microsoft is working on a new flagship device already, running the latest Snapdragon chipset and now today there is appearing the same device on the GFXBench website under the name “HP Falcon“. Though the name might be a bit irritating, according to NokiaPowerUser there are not any news about a Windows-based smartphone from HP, so this probably is just a wired codename which Microsoft gave this prototype device.
While it doesn’t matter that much who is manufacturing the device you might be interested in the specifications of the HP Falcon. Thanks to this bench mark test we do now know quite a few things about this upcoming Windows 10 Mobile flagship phone. As mentioned earlier already the device will have the latest Snapdragon 820 Quad Core processor to bring enough power for Continuum Mode and all that stuff. Though this phone will not only have a very powerful processor but also a Qualcomm Adreno 530 GPU which is fairly enough for a smartphone and will bring great gaming performance with it.
This device is also great for those who are not gaming a lot on their phones since it will have a 20MP Camera at the back and a 12MP, yes you read right, a 12MP camera on the front to get some stunning selfie photos and video conversations. Afterwards you will be able to have a look at those selfies you have just shot on a 5.8″ screen, so slightly bigger than the Lumia 950 XL with a resolution of 2560 x 1440.
So some stunning hardware specifications we have got here, although not everything might be exactly what the device will feature in the end since RAM is listed with only 0,9GB which wouldn’t be realistic compared to the rest of the hardware. It also say 43GB of storage which doesn’t sound too realistic as well so we do still need some patience in order to get all the details about this device but that’s does bring at least a good feeling.
What do you think about this leaked device specifications, do you think this will be another flagship phone by Microsoft or by any third-party manufacturer? Drop me a comment below with your opinion on this story and stay tuned for more Microsoft related news in the future.
