Yesterday Microsoft held the launch of their long awaited new flagship devices, the Lumia 950 and 950XL at their event in New York. We got a hands on demonstration of the new cutting edge 20 megapixel camera and it’s new Windows Camera software, that replaces Lumia Camera on Windows Phone 8.1.

Aweseome job on capturing the video and asking the right questions. I used you video as a the basis for my article about the Lumia 950 retaking the imaging crown. I credited you and licked back to your blog. Thanks again.

thank you
Thanks! I’ve been trying to find a site that shows the information on camera and the “post flash” processing. At first I wasn’t sure if Microsoft had a typo on their site or how they were going to go about it.
Also glad you got around the 60fps for slow motion. I was wondering if they were going to enable it or not. Overall, the camera seems to take amazing pictures, the only thing I wasn’t able to see is whether or not you can tap-tap-tap for multi shot (like the iphone) or if you still have to enable burst shot to take multiple pictures (which isn’t as convenient.)
I am just about ready to retire my Yellow 1020 – since the time it takes for the camera to boot up and the time it takes between pictures often leaves me frustrated when taking pictures. The quality is great, but… can’t get around how long it takes to take a picture.
We will have another video showing the speed, & to answer yes u can tap, tap, tap no burst mode needed
