Windows 10 for Phones Build 10072 Screen Shots Reveal Live Transparency Settings and New Office Apps

Leaked screen shots of a new build of the Windows 10 for Phones technical preview have made their way onto Chinese site ithome.com, showing a new transparency setting for the Live Tiles on your Start Screen, making custom backgrounds more or less visible (above).

The pictures of Build 10072, which is yet to be released to Windows Insiders but expected sometime in the next week or two also show off the Office apps which are to be universal across all Windows 10 devices. We also see a much greater amount of accent colours to choose from (below). The slider appears to give you almost invisible Live Tiles with just the app symbol and text displayed, there is also an option set to “Full” which may refer to your background wallpaper, allowing you to pick between a picture across the whole screen or just in the tiles as is currently available on Windows Phone 8.1.

We also get a look at some Settings menus (below) which seem to let you select input options, in the pictures set to “Mouse and Keyboard” however the phone language is in Chinese which I’ll admit to not being fluent in.

I am very much looking forward to getting build 10072 and seeing the new options as well as trying the new Office apps. Installing these early builds of Windows 10 for Phones on your Lumia device (if supported, most are) is as easy as downloading the Windows Insider app HERE and signing up as an Insider HERE. Keep in mind this is very early software and not recommended for use on your main device due to instabilities.
