Originally MixRadio was a part of Nokia, as a result with the acquisition of Nokia it belonged to Microsoft. However some time ago the Music Streaming service has been bought by Line, which makes it a platform independent service. MixRadio is another Music Streaming Service which allows you to listen to customized Music Playlists. The service started with Windows Phone and does have a lot of users there already, but today the company made a big step to get even bigger in music streaming.

With HERE, MixRadio is the second former Nokia Service which is expanding from Windows Phone only, to all mature operating system. The question at this point is, what about Windows Phone, will it be supported in the future. Well according to Dean Pattrick from Mix Radio, the service will continue to be preloaded on future Lumia devices from Microsoft and the MixRadio Team will continue to bring their fabulous experience to Windows Phone also in the future. So that are probably good news, tough it might be another reason for people to stay with Android or iOS and not to switch to Windows Phone.
