The new web service from WhatsApp, know as “WhatsApp Web” is now available to Windows Phone users since the latest app update rolled out a few days back.
Version 2.11.634.0 of WhatsApp on Windows Phone 8 brings the ability to access all your message threads on a PC by going to web.whatsapp.com on a Google Chrome browser. You can then scan a QR code with the scanner tool inside the new WhatsApp app which will then bring up your contacts and threads on your PC.
This service is also available to Android, Blackberry and even Nokia S60 users, but not, unusually, on iPhone due to “system limitations” – a line normally used to disappoint Windows Phone users!
You should have already received the update but if you haven’t you can get the latest version of WhatsApp for Windows Phone from the store by clicking HERE. Just a shame you also need Google Chrome on your PC, hopefully just a temporary limitation.

” Introducing WhatsApp Web: You can now send and receive WhatsApp messages right from your computer’s browser. To get started, visit web.whatsapp.com on your computer. Available on Windows Phone 8+.”
