NokiaPowerUser has apparently received a tip regarding some changed coming to Windows Phone Update 2. The anonymous tipster claims to have played around with the update and these are just some of the new things we should expect to see:
Sorting of Settings finally comes to Windows Phone and it will be alphabetically with an option to reach to settings you want just like the apps list.
Mobile data toggle will be finally present in Action center as one of the options
Cortana will go to more regions but still will be in Alpha.
No evidence of this has been shown, but they do bring up some features that consumers have been asking for. Giving more harmony to the mess that is the Settings app list has been brought up in the past, with the Windows Phone team assuring us that they were looking into it. And since Windows Phone 8.1 was released, we’ve also hoped to see the inclusion of a Mobile Data toggle for the Action Center, since many people like myself probably like to switch data off when not in use or when in low-reception areas. The last point is somewhat expected, though still would be nice to see Microsoft expanding Cortana’s abilities beyond the few countries where it’s currently available.
Take this with a grain of salt, as we’ve yet to see anything concrete, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled. In the meantime, we should expect this update sometime in October, with Lumia Cyan still rolling out and Update 1 available for Developer Preview devices as well as the HTC One (M8) for Windows Phone.
