A new application just being rolled out into various markets is Video Tuner for Windows Phone 8.1 (doesn’t work with WP8 unfortunately). Published by Microsoft Mobile, it is done by the same team who brought the excellent Nokia Camera app as well as Cinemagraph, Creative Studio, App Social and tons more.
Video Tuner is a simple to use but pretty feature packed video editing app which allows you to take existing clips on your Windows Phone 8.1 device and crop, trim, flip, add music, add filters and upload to your social networks (among other stuff too). In the short time I have used it I have been impressed. In fact I will have a hands on video up shortly (see it HERE).
The Conversations blog says the following:
Once installed, you have instant access to a set of basic, yet powerful, tools, such as trim, crop, rotate, flip, mirror, and speed change.
Delve deeper and you’ll find more advanced features, such as adding music to your video and adjusting the volume to suit particular scenes.
Need to adjust the exposure, contrast, and saturation levels? Yep, you can do that, too.
Thanks to the likes of Instagram, we’re all well-versed at using effects to change the look and feel of our images. The same applies with Video Tuner, just select your filter and away you go.
Video Tuner is not yet available in all markets, but should soon be available everywhere, so don’t despair if it’s not available to you right now. You can download it for free from the Windows Phone Store HERE. Definitely worth a look if you are into editing and sharing videos from your smartphone.
