Windows Phone 8 users who have been missing on demand radio from the BBC since it was removed from the latest update of the iPlayer app will be pleased to hear that the iPlayer Radio app which was promised at the time is now available for free in the Windows Phone Store.
BBC iPlayer Radio brings live streaming from all BBC Radio stations including local services, as well as On Demand offerings from the last seven days to users in the UK (or those who set their Region to UK). There is no option to download programs for offline listening, but this may come in time with an update.
You can download BBC iPlayer Radio from HERE
Listen live or catch up on the past seven days with the BBC iPlayer Radio app. Whether you’re looking for music or speech radio on your mobile, the app lets you:
– Listen live to all BBC Radio stations;
– Catch up on hundreds of on-demand programmes;
– Browse features, video and audio clips, including live music performances;
– Enjoy great audio quality over Wi-Fi, 4G and 3G.
Streaming radio uses lots of data, so it’s best to listen over Wi-Fi where possible. The BBC doesn’t charge for using the iPlayer Radio app, but your mobile operator may charge for using the internet over their network. These charges are likely to be higher when roaming outside the UK.
