Instagram Beta Update Brings Lock Screen Support

The official Instagram client for Windows Phone 8 has received an update, taking it to version 0.4 which brings support for lock screen integration, allowing you to use a collage of pictures from the app as your lock screen wallpaper.

Instagram on Windows Phone 8 is still in beta, hence it’s name Instagram Beta, and there is still some missing features compared to offerings on iOS and Android most notably no video uploading. You can download Instagram Beta for free from the Windows Phone Store or get the update if it hasn’t yet appeared on your device by clicking HERE.

Of course you can’t mention Instagram on Windows Phone without bringing up 6tag by Rudy Huyn, back in November we did a comparison video of the two apps, which you can watch below.
