The Low Cost Android Fork Nokia X lineup is to launch in the Philippines on March 11, 2014 according to a local tech blog in the Philippines Yugatech.
The Nokia X lineup consist of the Nokia X, Nokia X+ and the Nokia XL which were announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
According to Yugatech:
The new line is represented by low-cost handsets like the Nokia X, Nokia X+ and the Nokia XL — all of which were priced in the Php5,000 to Php7,000 range (before taxes and subsidies).
The March 11 launch will only be for the Nokia X model only as the X+ and the XL is still scheduled for 2nd quarter of 2014.
Price roughly around $100 to $150 USD.
This is going to be a challenge for Nokia. The emerging markets are very competitive right now. They are being flooded by low cost no name Chinese brand Android smartphones.
Lets just hope consumers are still putting trust on the power of that name NOKIA (Connecting People)
