SMWNYC 14 : Retrospective and Photo Gallery

2 Social Media Week Schedule

Social Media Week  concluded on Friday 2/21 after a jam-packed week of insightful panels, lively discussion, thought-provoking dialogue, off-line networking, and memorable parties revolving around this year’s global theme:  The Future of Now: Always On, Always Connected.  Powered by Nokia again this year as the global sponsor/partner, it featured everything from stop-motion animation tutorials for use with Vine at the Nokia NOW Studio, to the latest in wearable tech fashions,  to the debut of the new book curated by Toby Daniels of Crowdcentric and Craig Hepburn, head of Social Media at Nokia, titled:  ON! The Future of Now.

Coincidentally, the brand new Nokia Lumia Icon was made available in the U.S. as a Verizon exclusive during Social Media Week.  Packing a full 1080P display with superior audio and a pocket friendly compact design, it was featured at the Nokia NOW Studio inside the Highline event space.

The SMWNYC Closing Party this past Friday, held at the Highline Ballroom right across the street from the iconic Chelsea Market, was a rocking celebration to conclude the week-long parade of classes and events.  Featuring performers such as JohnnySwim, The White Panda, and mixes by Sean Glass, it was powered by Nokia Mix Radio, and a fond farewell until next year at SMWNYC ’15.
