The Nokia Lumia 1520, which I have had on loan from Nokia Connects for the last week and a bit, has a 20 megapixel PureView camera with Karl Zeiss optics, capable of some of the fine over sampling tricks which the Lumia 1020 is famous for. It also has video capture capabilities allowing the user to record in 1080p at up to 30 frames per second.
Just how good the results are can be judged below, as I share some photos and a video all taken on the Lumia 1520. Admittedly they are all taken in similar lighting conditions and of the same type of scenery, I will bring more sample to you when I have them.
Enjoy, and let me know any comments you may have in the section below.
First we’ll start with video capture playback. This video can be found on our YouTube channel.
And now for some photos, don’t forget to click the images to see them in full size.
I grew up in Bath, England where by law all the buildings had to be built with Bath Stone meaning all the architecture is a yellow sort of colour and for that reason I really love red brick buildings, which we have an abundance of in my new home town of Chippenham.
A close up shot, very good detail captured in my opinion.
The river running through Chippenham was a bit murky on this occasion, but still a nice pic.
A lock on the canal going through Devizes, Wiltshire.
Nokia haven’t made a High Dynamic Range mode for their Nokia Camera yet, do they need to?
