The interesting picture above is possibly a Lumia 1520 Mini, and what is more interesting is the supposed specs the “1520V” will come with. Basically, the same as found on the full size 1520.
Despite it’s smaller display of 4.3 inches, Chinese website WPBar say it will also have 1080×1920 display, meaning an incredible Pixels Per Inch (PPI) count of 512, however it may use a PenTile display rather than the RGB screen on the current 1520.
WPBar, which is a Windows Phone fan site say it will come with a “Xiaolong 800” (possibly a Google Translate mistake, or it means Snapdragon) CPU with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. They also suggest it will be the international version of the Lumia Icon, AKA Lumia 929 which should be coming to Verizon sometime soon with the same internals as the 1520 but with a 5 inch 1080p display. Nothing is mentioned about the camera, but a 3,000 mAh battery is quoted, as is built in wireless charging.
They posted the picture below:
This is of course all rumours, we may see a 1520 Mini sometime, but in my opinion a much more likely screen resolution of a 4.3 inch device would be 1280×720, giving it a PPI of 341. It will be interesting to see what comes of this. WPBar do say it may be a Windows Phone 8.1 device, meaning it will arrive around or after the second quarter of 2014.
