Up until today Nokia Beamer, which allows you to share what ever is on your Lumia screen with another device, was only available on the Lumia 1520 and the 1020 running the Lumia Black update. Following the roll out of Black to later devices, like my Lumia 920 last weekend, I was expecting Nokia Beamer to be available in the store, but couldn’t find it when I searched, only Photo Beamer, an earlier iteration of the app was in the Nokia Collection.
Well that has changed now, as Nokia Beamer is now available for Lumia 920 and 820 devices which have received the Nokia Black software update. I have not long installed it, and it works really well in my experience.
You can download it yourself for Lumia 820 and 920 for free, if, as I’ve already said, it has received the Black software update, from the Windows Phone Store by clicking HERE.
Below is a description of the app as found in the Windows Phone Store:
Show your phone’s screen live on any display that’s connected to the Internet. Share photos with friends and family on the TV in your living room, or invite colleagues from all over the world to view a presentation on whatever device they have. Nokia Beamer – your screen on their display.
