The Nokia Lumia 1320, which we saw unveiled at Nokia World in October has gone on sale today in China which will be followed by releases in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and other countries in the “coming weeks”.
Nokia Conversations announced the launch through a post on their site:
The multi-coloured, multi-faceted Nokia Lumia 1320 comes with many of the innovative, high-end features found on the Nokia Lumia 1520, such as a six-inch Gorilla Glass screen, super sensitive touch for glove use and a wealth of pre-loaded apps, including Nokia Beamer, HERE Maps and HERE LiveSight – all perfect for its super-sized touch-screen real-estate.
In terms of photographic aptitude, the Nokia Lumia 1320, which measures less than 1cm thick, offers fun ways to get creative with images. Creative Studio app has features like Colour Pop, Focus+Blur and Collage to enrich and invigorate your shots. And you can share your fancy shots with others via Instagram. Everything looks sharp and vivid on the 720p HD display.
They don’t mention a price, but when it was first announced at Nokia World, they quoted $339 before tax and subsidies, which is around 2,060 Chinese Yuan, or 21,000 Indian Rupees. We got a hands on demo of the Lumia 1320 back in Nokia World, which you can watch below:
I was actually more taken with the Lumia 1320 than the 1520. I am a fan of the Lumia 625 design, which the 1320 is modeled on, and like the fact that it uses a micro sim rather than the nano sim. Will be interested to see if the 1320 makes it to the UK market.
The Lumia 1320 comes with Nokia Black software update, which is Nokia’s version of Windows Phone GDR 3, and will support more Live Tiles on the home screen, like the 1520.
