Lumia 1520 Available for Pre Orders in Hong Kong on 15th November

Nokia have announced that the Lumia 1520, which features a 6 inch 1080p screen and a 20MP camera will be available for pre order in Hong Kong on November 15th, with full availability expected a little later in the month. The 1520 will have a suggested retail price of HK$5,998 ((US$773/£481) and will go on sale in “Nokia Stores, Nokia Solution Partners, major retailers in Hong Kong and Macau such as Broadway, Fortress, Leikei, Wilson and with local operators including CMHK, CTM, PCCW-HKT and SmarTone with attractive data plans.”

The Lumia 1520, which features a quad core Snapdragon 800 Processor clocked at 2.2 Ghz and 2GB of RAM will be available in yellow, white and black.

In the press release Nokia also highlight some of the great apps which will be available specifically in Hong Kong and in general which will take advantage of the largest screen yet found on any Windows Phone:

In addition to the most popular apps in Hong Kong, Nokia also bring us apps in different categories like photo shooting, photo editing and productivity. Some of the world’s most popular apps like Instagram, ESPN F1, EA SPORTS™ FIFA 14, My Talking Tom, Papyrus, Temple Run 2, Vine, Vyclone Pro and Xbox Video will be coming soon to the Windows Phone Store. Also local popular apps like 24 Reader, ‘Hong Kong Discuss Forum’, ‘Uwants’ and more will be available in November taking advantage of the large screen format to enjoy brand new experience.

Popular Hong Kong apps available for download immediately include:


myTV allows users to watch full versions of the latest TVB programs in High Definition through the Internet or mobile devices. You can watch most of the TVB programmes provided by Jade, HD Jade, Pearl and J2 channels within a few hours after being aired. These include primetime dramas, daily news and financial review; variety and entertainment events like Miss Hong Kong and TVB Anniversary, etc.
New features included: Daily primetime shows aired from 8-10:30pm can be reviewed as early as 11:30pm on the same day. The myTV app also includes a resume from last play feature which supports cross platform (web and mobile) and devices (login required) for up to 30 viewing programmes for registered users.


TV Drama Series offers more than a hundred thousand episodes of popular drama series from Taiwan, Japan and Mainland China. You can watch the whole series at once on the go without following the TV program schedule.
