One thing that has always amazed me about Nokia is that no matter how good or bad business is going for them at the moment they always find ways to still go the extra mile and help people. Even now with Microsoft buyout looming large they just announced a contest for developers called “Do Good” to help the visually impaired.
This means simply making their world more accessible with an app for their smartphone. It’s the little things that most people take for granted everyday that visually impaired people struggle with, this is where Nokia wants to help.
What are the prizes for this contest? According to Nokia themselves:
“..a trip to Mobile World Congress 2014, the winner of this mission will also receive an expense-paid trip for two people to the 29th Annual International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference in San Diego, California, where the winning app will be showcased…”
